The price you pay for convenience

My trailer is little.  The bathroom has two sinks and under them is a cabinet completely void of shelves or drawers.  Everything becomes compartmentalized in baskets or clear plastic boxes.  Luckly, Maggie left behind this over-the-toilet cabinet which helps me to keep what I need out without having to dig  through totes all the time.  This is my little cabinet.

Now the only problem is that over-the-toilet cabinets sit over the toilet.  This is precarious.  Especially when you get in and out of the kinda wobbly cabinet frequently.  When I get ready in the morning I leave its little doors open til I'm done grabbing things.  I left the lid for my deoderant on the little shelf while applying...then this happened.  Yep, my lid, in the toilet.  Yuck.  Regardless of the fac that I'd cleaned the toilet the day before and let bleach soak in the basin.  It's still gross. This is, of course, not the first time this happened.  I lost my face lotion and a bottle of body spray.  This time, it was just too much for me to deal with in the morning.  I left the lid there....all day.  I came home that night and waited until I had to pee so bad I couldn't stand it anymore before I fished out the lid and washed my hands a few times.

This is what my deoderant looks like now....sad, cap-less.   I feel like the deoderant deserves it.  If it can't look out for its cap better than that, then it doesn't deserve a cap.

And yes, that is a pill box.  It helps me to actually meet my "take my vitamins everyday" goal.  I hated the way it looked on the counter so I put it in here.  Since then, I've forgotten to take them for a week straight.  Turns out, I am an out of sight, out of mind person.
